Shad Epolito

Mr. Shad Epolito is the Chief Technology Officer of NCoded, a joint venture between DEFTEC and NCoded Communications. The synergy between a federal sector contractor—DEFTEC Corporation—and a technology and IT security innovator—NCoded Communications—has brought forward a firm in NCoded, a DEFTEC JV. The joint venture delivers secure data-in-motion and data-at-rest with experienced knowledge in delivering to the federal public sector. Deployment of these solutions have included several DoD and other agencies where government personnel were sent OCONUS, requiring telecommunications signals to be secured and cloaked within the region where personnel are sent.

Mr. Epolito has over 19 years of experience in the world of information and network security; both on offensive security (attack and penetration) as well as defensive security. He was a member of the first Department of Justice red team penetration testing group whose responsibility was to test various networks for vulnerabilities and weaknesses. After that, he developed and managed the Security Operations Center (SOC) for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). His love for all things security brought him to NCoded Communications to work with Mr. Rung’s game-changing technology solutions.

Mr. Epolito is skilled in the integration and automation of various network operating systems to include: Unix, Linux, and MAC OS systems. His diverse background comprises positions encompassing the creation of innovative, technologically advanced network solutions while monitoring enterprise-wide Windows and UNIX-based computer systems. He is sought after as a subject matter expert in developing and managing security operations centers and establishing Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT). He possesses excellent analytical skills with the critical ability to identify security issues and quickly apply effective resolutions.
